Once upon a time
when the weather was fine,
two monkeys were enjoying wine
while chewing tobacco on a street car line
the street car line broke and one monkey got poked
and went to heaven on a big billy goat

Now the monkey left behind
swings alone on a vine
for the vine to be broke is her only remaining hope
to get to heaven on that big billy goat

Two monkeys swinging on heavenly stars
bypassing all planets to get to Mars
no more being apart together they swing
`Happy Birthday` to each other is the song they sing!

As a toddler, I loved the Nursery Rhyme
`The Monkey Chewed Tobacco On A Streetcar Line`
singing it over and over giggling and dancing to rhythm
little did I know back then, that far into the future,
I would be using this theme in composing a `Birthday Poem`
for our very dear poetry friend 'Sally/goodolesal'..
