The Princess and the Tower

In the fairy tell story you hear the tell
Of the fair princess locked away in a cell
In the highest room of the tallest tower
Patiently awaiting her liberating hour
When her handsome prince comes to her rescue
But until that time whatever did she do
There must have been times of despair
When it seemed as if no one even cares
Hour after hour sad and alone
Far from friends, family, and home
What were the thoughts that got her through
Until her dream of freedom became true
Being locked in the highest tower she could see
The entire world and its possibilities
She watched the sun rise and the sun set
Which helped her believe there was hope for her yet
She watched the rain fall, and the snow so white
And each new day brought another ray of sunlight
After the clouds past the flowers bloomed and the birds did sing
And she just knew that someday she would do the same thing
Look out through your situation and see yourself free
Be patient and believe and it will come to be.
