WORDS
To all my friends, please try to see
These words, that were born in the heart of me.
It’s not your race, religion, or shared beliefs that touch my heart!
For as the years accumulate, shared beliefs are gone
And what is still inside so you can carry on?
Please listen!
When you don’t know just what you can do
Look inside that heart of you
Look deep inside your heart and you will find
A kinship with “the other kind.”
These words that come from my heart are true
I do not have to think like you!
So I will shout out good and loud
“I will not ever follow the crowd!”
Because if I do, then I will miss
That very comforting voice from above
Whispering, then shouting,
“The most important word is LOVE!”
