Just the Tool

The damage was large, and so the repair
A plan was made with time to prepare
The master sent the box for the tools
Then gathered together the ones to use
A golden pen to write the word
A silver spoon to speak and be heard
Beautiful feet to walk to and fro
Eyes to see which way to go
Ears to hear the faintest cry
Hands to lift up to the sky
Legs to travel thru journeys long
And backs to carry the burdens on
An alter to lay the heaviest care
And arms to help carry it there
God is the master builder; maker of all tools
Jesus is the tool box that holds all He would use
The Holy Spirit is the power supply needed for the job
The church is the instruments; tools employed by God
Each tool has a purpose; created with a plan
Yet each tool is worthless outside the master’s hand
Strong or weak, large or small
None are a waste, He uses them all
The lamp is limited without the lampstand
And the arm is limited without the hand
But together they get the task completed
One high; one low but both are needed
No tool was placed in the box without a work to do
There is a task, an important task to be done by you
