the little things in life
the little things in a lifetime:
seem so simple so benign:
the little things in life:
training to be a Marine at MCRD, san diego, marching, marking time:
in high school, receiving a standing ovation, at the winter sports banquet:
remembering the most dedicated athlete award that was presented to me, and all the respect i did get:
going to work in the summer, at central elementary school, as a maintenance and janitor:
remembering the lunch mom packed for me, with healthy sandwich and always a surprise of something ,ore:
my dad, taught me to drive his car at prarie island:
round and round we would go around that parking lot, more than a hundred times , probably a grand:
singing with my sister and brother when we went on a trip in our car:
the little things in life, when you recall, with strength and resole, they take you far:
our fort, that me and my brother built completely from scratch:
was our masterpiece, our mansion, we really loved the fort, and got so attached:
all the animals that me and my brother, took care of in the back yard:
we had every animal that you could think of, rabbits, pigeons, gerbals, hamster, parakeet, a duck, a cat, and fish, because mom said no to a dog, that was barred:
there was happiness at family gatherings, mom had sisters and brothers ten in all:
i remember the family gatherings and attending weddings of my older cousins and being in wisconsin, at a polka dance hall:
the foundation of my life, and who i am, growing up in minnesota:
feeling so loved, respected and cared for my my mother and my pa:
