Torn From the Pages of My Heart

Your Words Are Just Words Until...

You color me madly with definitions
Nouns, adjectives and verbs so brilliantly fused
By day you'd paint sunlight on my face,
And splash bursts of bird chirps in my laugh...
By night you'd call on the moon to thank
The mystery in my smile, the serenity in my arms

Yet with your unbound eloquence, you still feel you fail
To capture a mind so fragile, deep... so strong at the same time
You tried to explore it, yet still feel there's more
There can be no end for discovery, no end of that for sure

Your words... are just words... and they blow me away
But they're not enough to make me try to stay
Show me how to love, show me how to stop fearing
Not just the flowers and the praises I'm hearing

My mind is strong... too strong, perhaps
That I've forgotten to be vulnerable, forgotten to trust
Teach me to love you, show me the way
Show me that cracks can be mended, and if not,
Show me they're beautiful anyway
Let me know all of you, and perhaps...
You'd have all the nights... all the days....
