Forgive seventy times seventy times
its almost so hard to comprehend, hard to write in rhyme

Even to forgive once, takes energy so great
when  a person has been wronged as their fate

But as we know, to forgive, we do it not for our own self, not for the other, but we do it for GOD, in the HEAVEN
seventy times seventy, THEN

So as the  father of my family
i know all of these seven children of mine, they are watching, and they are looking at ME

as my ex-wife, is now needing my support, and wants to spend time with me
As SHE, is down on her LUCK, after being divorced and FREE 

So, oh GOD, which direction should i take which way should i GO
i know in my life, living and love, to FORGIVE, and let GOD, and just let Go, even it still hurts from the divorce and knock out BLOW

So i will do my best, to give her support
the best of my ability of any sort

But deep within me ,i dont feel so right
i didnt sleep hardly a wink last night

But to forgive seventy times seventy is what i know, FAITHFULLY, i will DO
and knowing, oh LORD, you will be guarding my heart TOO
