Truth Speaks

Original Contemporary Poetry by author, Jean Parr

“Truth Speaks”

You reached out a hand to grab and a heart to absorb, only to have it vanish before you
I reached out a hand to grab and a heart to absorb, only to have it abused and feeling obsolete
You are searching for a partner, a friend, a dream come true
I am searching for a companion who is accepting, understanding, and sweeps me off my feet

You strive to reach for a love that is beyond most revel
I am dreaming of a love that will stand beside me through the best and worst of times
You are seeking to converse with HER on many different levels
I am hoping for honest communication where HE can read between the lines

Romance is his strength and vulnerability, hers
He buys her flowers and makes her candlelit dinners because she is his sweetheart
She holds his hand and to show she cares and lays her head upon his shoulder
When you care, it is the little things you do that bring happiness and joy to your partners heart

She awaits his warm embrace and soft kiss
Upon that first meet, our souls will find true bliss
