A Healing Plea in Prayer


In the hours that darkness drifts
My sorrows so softly lift.
In prayer, and solemnity plea
I ask you to help all danger flee.

I quite hours of this night, hold
Close your healing light, guard
And keep the innocent in safety's
Might! 
Protection flows within your holy
Sight.

Angels walk beside the bed and 
Loving kiss this sweet child's head
To bring comfort, in times of dread,
May healing hope in prayer's do speed,
The prayers of loving parents said.

I place this prayer within your hands
In solitude, my faith will stand.
In hours of near and far, please 
Shine your healing light on this
precious... Star.
