How Many Times

How many more times
Are we going to have to sit here
And watch
Families torn apart
And innocent lives ended
Because someone
Walked into a school
A workplace
Or sat in their hotel room
And slaughtered innocent people
Sometimes for a reason
No one can understand

How many times are we going to have to say
Maybe someone could have done something
Or said something
To try and prevent this

How many times
Days
Weeks
Months
Or even
Years
Later
Will we see people
And politicians
Debate
Argue
And finally
Take no action
At all

How much blood
How many tears
How many lives
How many times
