PATROL, Boys and Girls

they are sure, to Ensure
all cars, Observe, and Obey
the----------PATROL-FLAG, STOP,-------- as the kids,
Getting out of School, CROSS--BUSY-STREET
on their
After-School
HOME-----WAY
For a Fifth Grader it's Alot of RESPONSIBILITY
with IMPORTANT, SAFETY, and, WELLBEING
PATROL-STOP-FLAG---------------------------------REALITY
For many PARENTS
they get Late, and in such of a hurry and hectic Rush
and the slow movin, Goofing around
Kids, behind-------------------------------PATROL-STOP--FLAGS
they
RESENT
The Fifth Grader in CHARGE
they Blow a Whistle, when it's Ready, to
----------------------------PATROL-FLAG-STOP
all, Traffic, at--LARGE
One kid has a Whistle
and one kid has. clip Board with PEN
to write down, any speeder,
or--Non-Compliant--Stopping--Car--THEN
Then Two ---PATROL--- Kids, with
---------------------------------------------PATROL-STOP-FLAG
And they have the Most IMPORTANT
PATROL,--KID--JOB
to Stand out in Front of
ALL, TRAFFIC, with,
--------------------------PATROL-FLAG--------held, Unfurled
HIGH--and--PROUD
not, low, with
DRAG
For I was a-------------------------PATROL--BOY
at Madison Elementary School
way Back, WHEN

and very very Proud
as a sixth Grader
