A Heart of Forgiveness

It was said in the halls of history a valorous act stood alone.
Victory finally came home.
Ending war in its final stance, when peace reigns in circumstance.
We have not gone a furlong when peace ventured a forgotten chance.
Stand by the golden light, when might holds a partying sight.
What wrongs are made right?
Is it a day we long to see to ensure Mankind's history.
Placing weapons down upon the bloodstained ground.
To walk free to uphold life's dignity.
The battles end to introduce the foe as friend.
A heart of forgiveness may now begin.
