Some dreams last a lifetime and become reality, some
are heartbreaking, when they lay crumbled at our feet
some not ours at all, rather a promise, we could
never keep
Some dreams dissolve quickly, If our eyes are open wide
some slip away so slowly, that we scarcely realize
the dreams that we've been dreaming, were nothing
more than pretty lies
Some dreams we toss aside, their price too high
to pay, some are put on hold, never to be
realized, some are just a fantasy, to pacify
a troubled mind
Some dreams we keep on dreaming
from the cradle to the grave
some bits and pieces come to pass
the others stored away
Sometimes they bring rejoicing
sometimes they make us cry
one thing all dreams have in common
Is the pain left when they die.
