My HENRY
my Dear old
DAD

EveryEVERYEvery
CHRISTMAS
that I Spent
with My LOVING
DAD my HENRY
was the BEST
that I ever
HAD

My HENRY my dear old DAD
he had to Grow up way too FAST
as his father Passed
When he was Age Twelve
and He had to
leave School
and
work the Family
Dairy
FARM
In RollingSTONE
Minnesota with him and his
Mother all
ALONE

So DAD
my HENRY
had to
Become a Man
at age Twelve and
No CHRISTMAS
JOY
was for him
happilymerrilyjoyfully
felt
or
As a kid
KNOWN

But he Made up for his Loss
with my Sister My Brother
and ME

Because
everyEVERYevery
DAY after THANKSGIVING
he was
BRINGING
us a Small
GIFT
with
PRE--CHRISTMAS
happyHAPPYhappy
wonderfulMERRYhappyJOYFUL
GLEE

AGGIE
my
MOM
you know that she was
oh--LORD--so--STRICT
and-so--THRIFTY
and yes so
very
WISE

And DAD
Really
Stressed her OUT
At
CHRISTMAS TIME
when every DAY
after
THANKSGIVING
DAD
everyEVERYevery
DAY after DAY after DAY
before
CHRISTMAS
had
for
us
KIDS
one more little
GIFT
and
SURPRISE

My
DADS
big GRIN
and
HappyHAPPYHappy
SMILE

After all of THESE YEARS and YEARS
still so JoyfullyMerrilyHappily
my HEART
still
GLOWS
Mile after Mile
as Im
REMEMBERING
my DADS smile
So big broad and
great
as a
Country
wide open
Minnesota
MILE
