THE DESERT LAND

They have fought and killed themselves
Sword against sword, man against man,
Horse against horse and rattle against rattle
The land that was to be cultivated
Is now barren, left desolate to
Beasts, erosion and heat
If you may ask
What were they fighting for?
Superiority.
