  Blistered Soles

Can't seem to defeat this heat
Drinking in a drizzle, my blistering feet sizzle
Beyond this wasteland, cool rivers stand
I push forward in pain and pray for rain
Such thoughts are so insane
If we should meet on this path
The ruthless desert will show its wrath
If we should fall we must rise and hope for kinder skies
Sizzling soles must find a compromise
Awakened from this dream, with blistered feet
I leave behind my screams in nightmare's haunting heat
Recall no thrill but welcome the fleeting chill
