No Light

I was not blind, but there in the darkness, was nothing
No light, no images to give me sight
I cried out to this void, I'm solely all that remains
In solitude, I wonder as I weep tears of blue rain
Alone, forgotten I sleep a dream of solitude
No light to guide the way something has stolen the day.
Dreams came to an end, and I find a true friend
A gentle face of warmth and love shining from above
No light embraces me, or the darkness that disgraced me
I know no greater light then the glow of heavens' sight
In the end I walked silently into the night
Embracing his holy light
