PROFESSIONAL OR CAREER PERSECUTION
When someone - your boss or colleague at work - hate you, they make sure you get a query. It happens everyday at workplaces in Africa. This is a classical case of professional or Career Persecution. Professional or Career Persecution involves inflicting pain or causing denial at work places or those related to career due to envy, hatred or competition. How many times would we keep on hearing of petty testimonies in churches of how people sat on people's promotions, with the effect that their promotions were hindered or delayed, at times, for long periods of time? We keep hearing of people oppressively "sitting" on others' files or intimidating them since they outperform them when in contrast those who do better should be commended and encouraged. This type of Persecution, which is commonplace in Africa, targets the growing, upcoming population and inhibits growth, thereby stalling the progress of a nation, and should be prevented. Let me narrate a case to you: while I worked for a foremost establishment in Lagos, Nigeria, I experienced a classical case of this - where my colleagues were intimidated and did the following: they made a junior staff who had just been recruited in six months time, my boss, who insulted threatened and persecuted me, due to their witchcraft inclinations and my non-involvement in it. One day, while on duty, a supervisor who was supposed to be on duty had to stay at home having sex, and another also had to stay off, with the result that I had to meet three simultaneously arriving aircrafts. When the airlines complained, I was given a query, not the other staff, due to tribal inclinations. Another painful one occurred barely a month after I had resumed duty. A senior colleague was asked to supervise and help me as an experienced staff. Someone brought a coupon to me which was dubious. I suspected something was wrong and presented it to him. He said I could accept it. Later on an issue arose - it was a fake coupon. I was asked why I accepted it. When I explained that my senior colleague advised me to accept it, he denied it. I was issued a query. In workplaces like these, especially in Africa, it is not the truth that is upheld. Everyone just protects his interest. It was also a result of witchcraft collusion. When that establishment was tribally fed up of me, they kicked me off. But I will never forget what those staff did to me. Professional and Career persecution is a real threat to all well-meaning, useful people who should contribute their useful quota to the development and betterment of their nations.
