FOUNDATIONS - I
Mostly when we hear the word "foundation", our minds drift instantly to buildings. Well, there are various and varied models of foundations. What is a foundation? A foundation is that which enforces a pattern or allows for the continuous independent and progressive function of a system or effects. It is that which guarantees the future or safe function of anything. It is a support for the durability of any pattern. There are eternal patterns forfoundations. As humans, we are probably only familiar with the building pattern which allows for providing a physical support on which a building stands. There can also be a support on which a life, a business, an endeavor or relationship stands. A foundation then should be that which supports the future or continuity of an idea, model or anything conceivable. It is the frame or skeleton of anything which makes it continuosly operable.That implies that there is no usefulness, value or function without a foundation. Once a required foundation is lacking, a system (either good or bad) cannot operate. So we speak in terms of wealthy patterns found, say in families and patterns of poverty or ill health handed down from generation to generation. The foundation of every plant or animal is its seed (with particular reference to quality and quantity) or that which is planted or sown to arrive at the species.
Long ago, King David had said:
"If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" (Psalm 11: 3)
King David knew the implication of doing everything right when the basic support system or foundation was faulty or below its required standard. He was saying that we may be pious, good people, put in our best, etc, but when there is a fault with the foundation of what we were doing, it would all be ruined. Hereditary illnesses prove these fact. Generational curses, yokes and bondages same. The impact of such foundational anomalies don't even spare the Righteous or righteous, well intended additional efforts. Thus nations, families, groups, businesses or our everyday involvements ents have foundations. Basically, the foundation of every human work or deed are thoughts and ideas, and they are sustainable based on whether they are founded on truth or falsehood, primarily.
