 Elena's Humming Soul

Will the night befriend

the two-faced fate or rather

succumb to the misty cold

that sends shivers,
to discreetly flutter its wings in the dark—instead

or to let the dashing, crescent moon gaze
at the thin, foggy smoke arising
elsewhere
that seemingly haunt the minds?
Beneath
the sober, orange flame indites—

the fingers forming silhouettes—words
that simply breathe
like having a life of their own.

If there's more, only her heart knows.
