THE CLASH (illusion vs. reality)


Night falls,
serenity clothed in fine breeze
seeps into my chamber

like an angel -
watching over me,
cuddling me gently
till I slumber
and journey in the valley of dreams.

One clash -
of a sound
and everything will turn into hell.

Then my mind's spirited
somewhere
simply to take refuge
from the cacophony of reality.
