 Pastor Linda Sharing God's Love

Ellie Elephant and Her Shawnee

~SigCity~

As she sits huddled over her young son...
She hides the tears that stream down her face,
For this is the day he'll leave his safety place.
He's going on his own to venture out,
Soon he'll see what this world's all about.
Suddenly tears flow down his face too...
As he looks at his Mama and says;
Who will watch over you?
She then replies;You'll return for visits...
knowing this will get me through.
They both raise their trunk;
Wishing each other the best and good luck.
As he walks away to start his new life...
Ellie turns away for Shawnee not to see;
The tears once again flowing down her cheeks,
For she knows how tough this world can be.
She then looks up to heaven and says a prayer;
Lord... please watch over Shawnee,
Let him know in time of need
We'll always be there!
