Heart Of The Matter
Secret
Can you keep a secret,
Do you promise not to tell,
If this comes back to you know who,
There really will be hell.
I said I wouldn’t breathe a word,
But I’m busting at the seams,
You’ll never guess what happened,
Not in your wildest dreams.
And when I heard about it,
I tried hard to not look shocked,
It came right from the horses’ mouth,
I just listened while she talked.
And as I walked away from her,
I promised not to tell,
So can you keep a secret,
Can you really?,
Can you hell!
Do you promise not to tell,
If this comes back to you know who,
There really will be hell.
I said I wouldn’t breathe a word,
But I’m busting at the seams,
You’ll never guess what happened,
Not in your wildest dreams.
And when I heard about it,
I tried hard to not look shocked,
It came right from the horses’ mouth,
I just listened while she talked.
And as I walked away from her,
I promised not to tell,
So can you keep a secret,
Can you really?,
Can you hell!
