Some Men
Why do we let them put us down?
Why do we let them get their way?
They want to walk all over us
and yet most of us still stay.
Some men don't know how to treat us
they just want to hit and run.
Some like to play and use us as toys
and leave when a pretty woman walks by because it brings them joy.
They act all tough when their friends are around
and kiss our a$$ when they have us alone.
They think buying us gifts and taking us out
Is what love is all about,
but we don't want those kinds of things
we just want respect, love, and understanding.
They want us to do what they want
some don't let us live our own lives.
Some men are so jealous
and they blame it on us,
but it's really their insecurities
that don't let them have trust.
Some men are actual monsters
they think beating on women makes them look tough,
but real men don't steep that low
They're not afraid to show their true emotions to us.
The jerks give the good men a bad reputation.
Not all men are built the same.
Jerks are nothing but cheap imitations,
and the good men bring them to shame.
So to all those women out there
that let their men treat them like dirt,
stand up tall and defend yourselves
take back your pride from those jerks.
Just because we're women we don't have to be weak.
Men shouldn't treat us like sh*t,
just like them dreams, love, trust, respect, and understanding is what we seek.
