Heart Of The Matter

I Do Like Being A Woman

I do like being a woman,
A grown up little girl,
With pretty clothes and perfume,
A neckline with a frill.

But I can wear a pair of jeans,
As well as pretty bows,
With cowboy boots, stiletto's,
Or anything that goes.

I really can look glamorous,
All dressed up to the nines,
I can clip on diamante,
Straight from the diamond mines.

I can go for lace and leather,
Dress it up or dress it down,
I can hide out in the country,
Or head on into town.

Or I can dress quite simply,
The latest in sports gear,
The kind that comes in handy,
At any time of year.

I can wear my hair the way I like,
Wear it down or tie it up,
I like my coffee in a mug,
For tea, a china cup.

I like a long chat with my friends,
A glass of sweet champagne,
I love to go out for the night,
And then come home again.

I do like being a woman,
Being single, being free,
I'm happy with my life right now,
And I'm happy being me.
