Heart Of The Matter

Destiny (A Sonnet)

You ask me now, how healing came to be?
And how I knew I had the gift divine,
Can I explain? So many ask of me,
Is there a time and place? I can define,
I guess it came when you required it most,
When you began to set your spirit free,
I have no power within; I am the host,
God only knows, just why He picked on me.
They say it's such a wondrous gift to hold,
The gift of love and light held in my hand,
What could I say, how could I be so bold?
And if I did, how could you understand?

You ask me now, how healing came to be,
What can I say?  It's simply destiny.
