Poetry From The Heart by Barbara Ann Smith
A Dear Friend
CHILDREN POETRY:
I have this pal
his name is Ringo
he is a Jack Russel Terrier
who loves to be on the go.
He guides me as I walk
ensures my gait is straight
makes sure I'm not swaying
I can make it to the gate.
His fat tiny body
like a guard by my side
brown eyes look up
and peers into mine.
His love is like a mother's
tender to the touch
he cuddles beside my chair
and cares for me so much.
I call Him an angel
sent to me from above
I know God saw my need
and sent him to me to love.
I have this pal
his name is Ringo
he is a Jack Russel Terrier
who loves to be on the go.
He guides me as I walk
ensures my gait is straight
makes sure I'm not swaying
I can make it to the gate.
His fat tiny body
like a guard by my side
brown eyes look up
and peers into mine.
His love is like a mother's
tender to the touch
he cuddles beside my chair
and cares for me so much.
I call Him an angel
sent to me from above
I know God saw my need
and sent him to me to love.
