God's Scribe Poetry Selections

I Surrender

I sit alone,
Though thousands
Surround me.
I am all that is visible.
Secretly He whispers
And quietly I surrender,
I surrender.
For this is what
I was created for.
He breathes His breath
Of wind upon my neck.
He shines His glorious
Smile of sunshine
Down to my hidden sanctuary.
He sings His cricket's songs
Of love for me.
And quietly I surrender,
I surrender.
I surrender my life,
But I have already lost it.
I surrender my soul,
But it was not mine to give.
I surrender my mind,
My heart,
My being,
But they were His to begin with.
Still I surrender
I surrender.
No longer do I have
A hold on them.
He directs them,
Molds them,
Uses them.
For they were and
Still are His tools.
Quietly I surrender,
I surrender.
