For Mothers Day 2005
Happy Mothers Day Mama
Sent to you in heaven on high
It's been seventeen years now
Yet thoughts and missing you often make me cry
You lived in Corpur Christi,Texas for many years
And Texas is where your body was laid to rest
I came to stay with you for the last month
Then on Oct.13,1988...
God decided your battle had been run
For the last five days you were in a coma enduced state
Your lifeless body just lying there was almost
more than I could take
I went home around midnight to your house
and I cried like a baby
Then at 1AM ...I heard your voice as plain as day
"Liny, come up and be with me and stay"
So as fast as I could to the hospital I drove
I told the nurse what I had heard
But my Stepdad said she just needs some rest
I said Mama is leaving us in a few hours
He didn't believe me and so he left
I talked to you and told you...
that you were the love of my life
And if you were ready to go be with Jesus
I was ready for you to be out of pain
My ultimate gift to you was to let go
For to see my Mama,Best friend and confidant
in a lifeless state was totally breaking my heart
I took a break from your bedside and in 15 minutes
I decided to return
I guess you had just waited to hear my words
and that you had just been hanging on
For when I walked back in your room
I then seen a smile upon your face
It was then I knew Jesus had taken you home
To suffer no more in his heavenly place.
