Heart Of The Matter

Tempest

It looks like stormy weather,
Sunshine and rain filled clouds,
Heavy rain and rainbows,
And peels of thunder loud,

I watch it from the shoreline,
I hear the ocean roar,
I feel its anger rising,
Its wave the darkest hoar,

I let the storm pass over,
Embrace its liberty,
Like me, its' had its say now,
Now sated, by decree.

Superseded by the sunshine,
The storm now lost in time,
For now the tempest's over,
And peace and calm is mine.
