I dedicate this poem to my two granddaughters
Arielle and Brooke
for whom it was lovingly written
Ladybugs and Cupcakes,
Are two of my favorite things,
Two brown eyed beauties
With ponytails,
That make my heart go "zing".
I'm afraid I have a most serious condition,
Called head over heels in love,
And can you believe it, people?
With a Cupcake and a Ladybug!
I sailed to Spain and I ran to Rome,
I looked up high and I looked down low,
I most assuredly felt like a dope,
Cuz I couldn't find a 900 mile rope,
To pull you back home to me.
I must confess
I've had no success,
"Oh" my what shall I do?
For I fear there's no cure,
For this most dreadful case
Of golly gee, "boo-hoo"
