 CELEBRATING LIFE

Some people dwell on getting older
Some stop counting cause it's bolder
A birthday is a time of acknowledgment
By celebrating memories we treasure
And giving thanks for life's precious gifts

I thank God for having you like a sister
For that, to me, is something priceless
A friendship like ours is very rare to uncover
Laughing, singing and sometimes crying
As the caring and sharing made us stronger

Since you migrated to the "Land of Oz"
The miles somehow detached our devotion
So I need a pair of those magic ruby slippers
To find my way to your house of dwelling
And be together with laughter once more

Somewhere over the rainbow is our pot of gold
The treasure it holds is our memories of old
