"Natural Beauty"

A single seed becomes a seedling
The essential core of distant elegance
It germinates, it sprouts, it evolves
The seeking roots proudly take hold.
Fostered by the nourishments of nature
Encouraged to grow by the warmth of light
Able to withstand the torrid heat
And endure the bitter cold.

The growth of inner beauty travels many stages
A journey of time and care to develop
The charm of a rose is seen in full blossom
A ripening bud found it's natural ways.
As night falls the protective petals close
The source of life silently fortifies the stem
Only to open wide again
To soak up the new Sun's rays.

When you block the sun from a maturing plant
The ever reaching shoot downward falls
Kaleidoscope blooms begin to fade
Soon the thriving bud shrivels and dies.
Distort the image of a vibrant flower
As the splendor vanishes, we cover our eyes
Forgo the truth of fate and destiny
Then, we merely wonder why?

Don't take a life for granted
Presumptions are difficult to repair
Cultivate, don't excavate a hollow ground
Dare to risk, to take a chance.
Believe and have faith, simply let go
Allow nature to guide it's course
Don't over-protect the seeds
Or you'll surely forsake the plants!
