 MY DOLL SUSIE
>

* * * Happy Birthday to Susie & Me * * *

Something special was gifted me,
By someone so extra dear to me,
With hair of gold and eyes so blue,
She was the envy for all to view.

I named her Susie and know not why,
And kept her name as the years went by.
She then sat pretty in laced attire,
Along with accessories to match with desire.

I've treasured her since I turned ten,
And her eyes still sparkle like a real gem,
For she's been my girl ever since then,
A keepsake of time and remembrance of when.

Clothing withered with the passing of the years,
She now has attire I have fashioned for years,
With a favorite color of pink and hues of blue,
Susie glows with an affection so true.

A second generation she'll be presented to,
The one of whom she is most worthy to.
Her adoption will be all so grand and fair,
To that special someone with love and care.

My wish is to not lead Susie astray,
Just take care of her in an everlasting way,
And when Susie's placed in a new dwelling,
She must be loved and never, ever left hanging.

We celebrate our genesis on the same day.
Though we age graceflly in a different way,
If you could see her you would see,
Why she us so very precious to me.
