From my mind

Kissed With Colours

I stand on this rock far away from my home in this foreign land
And look at a painting a masterpiece this creation of Gods own hand
Looking as far as the eye can see at sky, sun and warm Mediterranean Sea
Standing as one and feeling this is the closest to heaven that I could ever be.

Intoxicated by my senses, do I see this, am I dreaming, is this really real
The warmth of the colours adding warmth in my heart with adoration I feel.
Standing in wonderment at reds, ambers, pinks in perfection, basking in a cascade of light
As the sun sinks and lays down her head slowly kissing the sky and sea good night.

A special time in a magical place, fills me with awe makes my heart race.
I a silhouette in the last shafts of dying rays reflecting in my eyes and upon my face.
My troubles and worries slip through my fingers like soft fine golden sands
A gift sent from God and his planets, as I look at pure beauty, me mortal man.
