Today was not a good day for me
I was some what very distracted
my mind had wander off
into a time of long ago,
still I tried to hold a smile
I tried hard to keep the tears
from falling, then out of no where, I heard your heart
call upon my name
I was sitting here in despair
and I felt your spirit wrap around me
and my soul was comforted
you my friend have a magic touch
and I love you so much.
you make my coldest moments warm
you turn my frown the other way around
you keep me from holding my head down
you gave me the strength
to move forward
to see that life still goes on
you said rather I was sad, lonely,
or blue, I would always have a friend
in you.
We may drift apart in distance
but our hearts floats together
this newly found friendship
is one I hope never slip away,
in my heart you'll forever stay
thank you my friend for placing
a smile back upon my face today
