Should I no longer breathe the air,
Feel the ground beneath my feet,
No longer see Nature's creation and beauty,
Nor hear the sounds of earthly melodies,
I will know God has chosen a new path for me,
For I believe in the after life of a new life.
As the angels who have watched over me,
Take my hand and guide me to a new destiny,
While passing beyond the pearly gates,
And envision the path of heavenly foundation,
I will once more regain my strength in faith,
In an existence He has chosen for me.
I shall not fear death, dear Lord,
I will remain on the path of life with You,
Create a circle to hold peace and harmony,
Follow those who walk along with me,
For, by believing in Your salvation,
I know my soul is at peace for eternity.
