One Day At A Time

Yesterday's gone,
for I awakened this morn
to another new day
to live on my own
in search for tomorrow,
when today will be gone.
My wants may be plenty,
and my needs maybe not,
I'm in my own little world,
where I can be free
to be who I am and
whom I still want to be.
Yes, there's tomorrow,
and the day after that,
but for now I will sing
a sweet, old melody
in hopes that it'll bring
some kindness my way.
Lord, let me be heard
by those who believe
in
One Day At A Time!
