  ONE DAY AT A TIME

Surrounded by all forms of Palm trees.
branches swaying to an ocean's breeze,
sandy beaches, water of crystal blue,
a still picture, a moving imagination.

The sun's rays beaming down
upon my openly exposed shell,
in need of quenching desires,
whence my inner passionate fires.

Walking barefoot on the sand,
leaving keepsakes where my footsteps land,
the evening current will wash them away,
with a fresh start the following day.

Releasing pleasant reflections,
with whole heartfelt aspirations.
I will forever long to trace,
a theme of a summer place.
