Heart Of The Matter
The Ballad Of The Durzet Baird
The Durzet Baird and Baby Blue,
Found romance upon the line,
He brought his lady down to Poole,
And everything was fine,
Now to the country they set off,
Away from prying eyes,
He had a look upon his face,
He couldn't quite disguise,
They packed a little hamper,
And set off in his car,
They lived quite near the city,
And the country wasn't far,
They found a place, secluded,
Lay a blanket on the ground,
The scene was set for romance,
There was no one else around,
He lit his little barbecue,
His chipolatas, they were cookin',
He had another look to see,
If anyone was lookin',
The coast was clear; they cuddled up,
There was now no going back,
Disaster struck; the flames shot up,
His chipolatas; they turned black,
Now panic struck and out of luck,
They watched the flames go higher,
They had planned a little picnic,
But they set the woods on fire!
