 LIFE IS LIKE A BOOK

I do not dare open the cover,
for there's no script on the cover,
blank pages I may discover.
therefore, I should not bother.

I will place a title of my own,
the book will not be thrown,
for my pen will fill each given page,
form chapters, and not build a cage.

My life's story I shall not put in script,
for too many would relate to such a crypt,
instead, I shall assemble all my knowledge,
and let life's glory be read with mileage.

What a gift it is to be given such a chance,
to be able to relive life at my own glance,
can stop at any page I choose,
for I have nothing to lose.

Life is like a book, my friend,
our days are the pages filled to a trend,
when we live life, wearing no veil,
the cover to our chapters will unveil.
