Heart Of The Matter

No Need To Go

Four days in quiet seclusion,
The haar hangs on the hill,
The summer season ended,
Prepared for autumns chill,

I listen to Vivaldi,
The music fits my mood,
I walked for miles along the shore,
For now, I'm feeling good,

I'm far away from city noise,
The constant telephone,
I look out to the mountain,
Feel contented on my own,

Just wandering with my camera,
I photograph the scene,
I don't know where I'm going,
But I do know where I've been,

I saddle up a pony,
He takes me high and wide,
Though muscles aching from neglect,
I so enjoyed the ride,

I planned to leave this morning,
All prepared to make my way,
But the mist is closing in on me,
So, I'll stay another day,

There's no great rush to leave here,
The pace of life is slow,
There's no one waiting for me,
I have no need to go.
