Heart Of The Matter

Mystic Man

I met up with a mystic man,
A man, of whom I'm fond,
He told me things,
Not of this world,
But from a world beyond,

He talked to me in riddles,
In carefully worded clues,
And as he spoke,
I saw him glow,
In multi-coloured hues,

I held his hand,
This mystic man,
Surrounded him with love,
He told me I was guided,
From angel realms above,

He spoke of someone from my past,
Who died at forty two,
And when I checked,
I found, that what he told me,
It was true …..

He spoke to me of Egypt,
The Valley of the Kings,
Of Dega and of Byron,
Of poisoned darts,
And slings,

He spoke to me,
And as he did,
I held onto his hand,
I didn't know,
Just what he meant,
But in time,
I'll understand.
