~One Case To Argue©

Hath not a human heart,
hath not a human eyes?
If you wound us do we not bleed,
if you forsake us do we not cry?
To get rid of the bittersweet taste
of greed on our tongue,
we need to go back
to when we were young.
So little made us happy
way back then,
the almighty dollar
was not our best friend.
Have we stopped caring about
what really matters in life,
are we so blind we don't see ourselves
stabbing each other in the back with a knife?
A morsel here
a morsel there,
we pick at the beast
till there's no more to spare.
When the jury convenes
of the highest supreme court,
i hope we can argue our case
or our sentence will not be short!
