The Reason - A Sonnet
There must have been a reason why we met,
Just brought together on a love filled night,
We stood as one believing we were set,
For life and love, the future ever bright.
We had so much between to overcome,
But time and distance carried us away,
The heavens send a blessing now for some,
The angels still beside us both today,
Tonight my heart still reaches out for you,
The way it did that fateful summer night,
And as the years passed by it simply grew,
For you and only you can make it right.
There must have been a reason why we met,
And why, you are the one I can't forget.
