We no longer hear the "phrase"
From a broken home,
Sadly that has now become the "norm"
Till death do us part, no longer in style,
Divorce attorneys ahead by a mile,
Look how far we've come.
Hollywood and MTV are raising our children,
Is that the way it should be?
Is anyone concerned at all,
What their future
Might be?
I pledge allegiance to the flag
Once with pride, was recited
I guess it's OK now, if
"Under God is deleted "
Cooperate corruption takes the lead,
With a slap on the hand
When it's leaked,
Their faces splashed across TV,
Now they're becoming celebrities.
Chasing after happiness
With a credit card,
25% interest gets a little hard,
So we pay the balance off with
A brand new card.
The rise in violence
Has stayed consistent,
Our peace of mind is
Non existent,
It must now be bought
With a security system,
God help us! We've come so far.
