(for anyone whose friend(ship)washed away with the tide)
I really don't know what to say,
since you just drifted off one day.
I thought you were my friend,
what i said or did to upset you i can't comprehend.
You're either my friend or you're not,
if the latter then don't give this a second thought.
I just wanted you to know,
it's confusing how you could say goodbye when we barely said hello.
So please tell me if you would be so kind,
what made you sail away and leave this friend behind?!
Us having a bond seems to be in question,
cause i reckon that i didn't leave a lasting impression.
It seems now that kind things you said simply weren't true,
foolish me always thought more of you.
But it's your loss and you're the fool you see,
cause you truly had a friend in me.
You're gonna miss out on something special indeed,
only how could you when you don't even know the meaning
or even appreciate where it could lead?!
Oh well i've lived and learned,
sometimes when you're sincerely nice you get burned.
But i'll heal cause one thing is true,
i won't be losing any sleep over you.
It was fun while it lasted at least i thought so,
but crying over water under the bridge is not the way to go.
The friend(ship)has sailed,
and the duty of captain you failed.
I just hope that now since the tide has turned,
and you got off course you can live with the loss you've earned!
YOU SNOOZE-YOU LOSE....
