The Best Kept Secrets of a mother, wife and friend

That smile

All that was left………was a stain
of a smile, that held captive a dark piece of my soul,
Clear like crystal in my memory
Soft like silk
Angelic,
enchanting like the fairy tales I herd in my childhood memories.
I still in moments can close my eyes and can do far more then just see.
I can smell, the sweet energy of a love lost in a distant memory,……
This had to be more then just a simple dream……….
but a preview of the world yet to come.
His smile….could end wars
His laughter….. could inspire the color in a rainbow
the smile that expanded from this man could ignite....an internal fire....moving faster burning higher to metamorphosis to for the lack of a better word...DESIRE.
The passion left behind by a kiss on the hand even poets vocabulary would fall short to find the words to make the world understand.
The simplicity of his smile
Is still so enchanting in my memories
I wonder……if he knew
In his steps while leaving, the outline of a love so treasured but lost
His smile for me is gone………..
What has been left behind is a mere stain
Of a smile that holds captive a piece of my soul.
