A Synthetic Soul

Deception

This glow that floats about you, tells that you're not what you seem.
You think I don't see what you really are, but me you can't deceive.
You hide behind that pretty face and underneath it all you think me for a fool.
But your deceived for my heart so pure and clean is sickened, black, and cruel.

I love the way you use me for I use you too.
I use you like no one ever could,
for your life is what I steal from you.
With every little kiss I steal your breath away.

I gnaw at the essence of your soul with every passing day.
I bleed away your life, and I take from you what's dear.
I hold your heart in the palm of my hand, and squeeze from it a tear.
Your eyes glaze with the pressure I put on you.

To think that you once used me, your innocence I raped from you.
I've taken all that I want, I need nothing more of you.
Now you are alone, broken, beaten and used.
