[ center stage ]©
We take center stage
only to bring the curtain down,
our heart we wage
crying tears of a clown.
For life is sometimes cruel
when in the second act,
it becomes too hard a role
keeping our dignity intact.
We make it thru the end of the play
taking comfort in a standing ovation,
and we'll look back on this day
being a cause for celebration.
Giving thanks for the part we're given
for it's truly a safe bet,
that we've got to keep on livin
till we hear:quiet on the set!
